About NAMC
The National Association of Moot Court is the governing body for high school moot court. NAMC provides high school students across the nation with an opportunity to gain experience in appellate advocacy.
Each year, our partner programs host invitational and regional tournaments that share a common case and set of rules. The top teams from each regional tournament earn a bid to the NAMC National Tournament, where they face off against the best teams in the nation for a chance to be crowned national champions.
NAMC was founded in August 2022 by Sydney Chen, Matthew Meyers, Faiz Surani, Joshua Cenzano, and Louis Chuang. NAMC is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit and is jointly operated by the moot court programs at Duke University, Yale University, UC Santa Barbara, and the University of Chicago. (NAMC is not affiliated with any university.)
